Diplomats Split in Second Day of Juniata Volleyball Tournament

HUNTINGDON, PA -- Jen Grue (So., Canton, PA/Canton) finished the day with 69 assists in seven games as the Franklin & Marshall College Diplomats went 1-1 on the second day of the Juniata College Volleyball Invitational. In the first match of the day, F&M rolled past Centennial Conference rival Western Maryland in three games (30-22, 30-22, 30-21) as Emily Green (Sr., Woodstock, CT/Woodstock) tallied 22 digs and 10 kills. Heidi Goedicke (Jr., Spring Church, PA/Elderton) chipped in 22 digs and 9 kills as the Diplomats earned their 10th win of the season. In the second match, F&M would fall to RIT 30-18, 11-30, 22-30, 29-31. Goedicke added 17 kills and 27 digs, while Grue assisted 34 times and tallied 17 digs. Franklin & Marshall (10-6, 3-1 CC) will continue at the season at home in Lancaster in an October 3 match versus Swarthmore College.
