Setter Jennifer Grue chipped in 27 assists, while freshman Elizabeth Earll (New Freedom, PA/Susquehannock) had a strong defensive effort picking up 10 digs and 3 blocks.
In the championship bracket of the tournament, the Diplomats would face Susquehanna (20-6) , and defeat the Crusaders in four games. In the match, the Diplomats broke a school record for most blocks in a four game match with 16. The previous record of 15 blocks was set earlier this season against conference foe Muhlenberg. Green had a strong match, contributing 24 digs, 4 aces and 11 kills. Junior Goedicke would set the game high for the Diplomats with 25 digs, while classmate Kristen Kowalski (York, PA/Central York) had the team best 14 kills in the match. Grue set a personal tournament best with 50 assists.
In the nightcap, the Diplomats would lose to regional foe Moravian. The Diplomats had defeated the Greyhounds earlier in the season at the Western Maryland Tournament, but it was not to be the case today. The Greyhounds got the best of the match, defeating F&M 3 games to 1.
All three teams defeated one another as Susquehanna defeated Moravian 3 games to none in the nightcap. As a result, the Diplomats would win the tournament based on the tie-breaking formula of point spread.
