Diplomats Down Elizabethtown 3-0 in Women's Volleyball

LANCASTER, PA - Outside hitter Kristen Kowalski (Sr., York, PA/Central York) tallied 17 kills and middle blocker Rose Hartmann (Sr., Warminster, PA/William Tennet) added five service aces as the Franklin & Marshall College women's volleyball team defeated Elizabethtown 3-0 (30-25, 30-25, 30-27).

Defensively, Maureen Lafferty (Jr., Collegeville, PA/Villa Maria) registered 18 digs, while Meghan Godorov (Fr., Orefield, PA/Parkland) and Liz Earll (So., New Freedom, PA/Susquehannock) chipped in 11 digs as the Diplomats improved to 3-1 on the year.

For Elizabethtown, Dawn Johns led the Blue Jays with 10 kills, four service aces and eight blocks.

The victory improves F&M's record all-time versus Elizabethtown to 19-13 as the Diplomats have won eight straight meetings since a loss in 1995.

Franklin & Marshall will continue the season on September 6-7 at the Colorado College Tournament in Colorado Springs.
