LANCASTER, PA - Setter Jackie Skibbie (Fr., Darby, PA/Merion Mercy) recorded 32 assists and Maureen Lafferty (Jr., Collegeville, PA/Villa Maria) had 20 digs as the Franklin & Marshall College women's volleyball team defeated Lebanon Valley College (5-2, 0-0 MAC) 3-1 (30-18, 30-19, 25-30, 30-27) in the Mayser Center.

The Diplomats swept the first two games by 30-18 and 30-19 scores before the Dutchmen rallied in the third game to manage a 30-25 victory. In the fourth game, the Diplomats pulled away from Lebanon Valley and survived a late scare to take the match.

Defensively, Rose Hartmann (Sr., Warminster, PA/William Tennet) and Elizabeth Earll (So., New Freedom, PA/Susquehannock) tallied four solo blocks as the team finished with nine solo and five assisted blocks for the match.

The victory improves F&M's record to 14-2 all-time against Lebanon Valley, as the Dutchmen last managed a win versus the Diplomats in 1989.

Franklin & Marshall (6-3, 0-0 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on September 13-14 at the University of Scranton Tournament. The team will return to the Mayser Center on September 16 versus York College of Pennsylvania. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m.
