Hartmann Named to September 10th Centennial Conference Volleyball Honor Roll

LANCASTER, PA - Centennial Conference Executive Secretary Steve Ulrich has announced the naming of middle blocker Rose Hartmann (Sr., Warminster, PA/William Tennet) to the September 10th Conference Volleyball Honor Roll.

The honor comes on the heels of Hartmann tallying 86 kills, 16 service aces, 46 digs and 19 total blocks in the Diplomats' first eight matches. In addition, she was named to the All-Tournament team at the 2002 Franklin & Marshall College Invitational on August 31st.

Following a 3-1 win over Lebanon Valley on September 11, Hartmann is averaging 3.06 kills, 0.48 assists, 0.68 service aces and 0.77 blocks per game. Overall, she leads the team in service aces (21) and blocks (24), including a season best 17 solo blocks.

In the latest Centennial Conference statistics, she ranks fifth in kills per game, seventh in hitting percentage (.284) and fourth in blocks.

As a team, the Diplomats are second in kills per game (13.15), fifth in hitting percentage (.180), first in assists (11.93), fourth in digs (18.52) and fifth in blocks (1.57) per game.

In assists, setter Jackie Skibbie (Fr., Darby, PA/Merion Mercy) leads the Conference with 11.44 per game, while Heidi Goedicke (Sr., Spring Church, PA/Elderton) ranks fourth in kills (3.44) and sixth in digs (3.56) per game.

Franklin & Marshall (6-3, 0-0 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on September 13-14 at the University of Scranton Tournament. The team will return to the Mayser Center on September 16 versus York College of Pennsylvania. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m.
