Kowalski & Goedicke Key F&M to 3-1 Volleyball Win at Dickinson

LANCASTER, PA - Kristen Kowalski (Sr., York, PA/ Central York) keyed the Diplomat volleyball team's attack in a 3-1 victory over Centennial Conference rival Dickinson College.

The Diplomats wasted no time as they jumped out to a 2-0 (30-13, 30-16) lead against the Red Devils before dropping game three 31-29. The Diplomats would settle down in the fourth game as they finished Dickinson off 3-1 (30-13, 30-16, 29-31, 30-18).

Kowalski recorded 20 kills and added ten digs to pace the team to its 12th consecutive victory. Classmate Heidi Goedicke (Sr., Spring Church, PA/ Elderton) led the defense as she notched 19 digs and 10 kills.

The win gives the Diplomats a 16-3 record on the year and improved the team's Centennial Conference record to 2-0.

Historically, F&M is now 29-6 against Dickinson and has won the last 15 matches dating back to 1989.

Franklin & Marshall will return to action on September 28 when the travel to Washington College to play Washington and Haverford. First serve is set for 11:00 a.m.
