Skibbie Named September 17 Centennial Conference Volleyball Player of the Week

LANCASTER, PA - Centennial Conference Executive Secretary Steve Ulrich has announced the naming of setter Jackie Skibbie (Fr., Darby, PA/Merion Mercy) as the September 17th Centennial Conference Volleyball Player of the Week. The Centennial Conference leader in set assists with 11.3 per game, Skibbie totaled 177 assists in five matches last week and was named to the All-Tournament team at the University of Scranton Invitational. In a 3-1 win over Lebanon Valley, she tallied 32 assists and 16 digs. On September 14, she registered a season high 48 assists in a three game victory over Cortland State as the Diplomats advanced to claim the Scranton Tournament title. In addition, she ranks second in the Centennial Conference in hitting percentage (.316). For the year, Skibbie has tallied 31 kills on 82 attempts, 401 assists, 13 service aces, 113 digs and seven blocks in thirty-six games played. As a team, the Diplomats lead the Conference in kills (13.4) and assists (11.8) per game, while ranking third in hitting percentage (.205) and blocks (1.8) and fourth in service aces (2.34) and digs (18.32). Franklin & Marshall (11-3, 0-0 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on September 19 in the Centennial Conference season opener versus Bryn Mawr College. Match time is set for 7:00 p.m. in the Mayser Center.
