LANCASTER, PA - Franklin & Marshall College libero Meghan Godorov (So., Orefield, PA/Parkland) tallied 654 digs in 101 games to finish with an average of 6.48 per game to win the individual Centennial Conference digs title and lead the Diplomats to the team title in the final 2003 volleyball statistics.

Ranked ninth in the nation in the November 18 NCAA Division III statistics, she is the only Centennial Conference player ranked among the nation's top 30 in digs.

The November 4 Centennial Conference Player of the Week, Godorov made history in 2003 by shattering the Centennial Conference single season dig record of 586 held by F&M's Heidi Goedicke '03 from the 2000 season.

An All-Centennial Conference second team selection, she became the first libero ever named to the All-Centennial Conference team since the position's inception prior to the 2002 season.

By definition, a libero is a designated back-row player who cannot serve, attack or set inside the attack line and is submitted for defensive purposes.

For her career, she has 1,018 digs, as Godorov is 95 digs away from moving into 10th place on the Franklin & Marshall College volleyball record board. Overall, Goedicke holds the career record in digs with 1,661, a mark Godorov could erase as a junior next season.

Overall, she was one of two F&M players ranked in the top five in the Conference as outside hitter Maureen Lafferty (Sr., Collegeville, PA/Villa Maria) finished with 439 digs in 98 games for an average of 4.48 per game to rank fifth in the final conference standings.

As a team, the Diplomats dominated the category registering 2,369 in 103 games for an average of 23.00 per game, 1.55 digs per game more than runner-up Haverford College (21.45).

In other categories, Franklin & Marshall finished among the CC leaders in kills (4th, 1330), hitting percentage (3rd, .209), assists (3rd, 1259) and service aces (4th, 255).

Individually, several Diplomats recorded top 20 finishes as Lafferty finished fourth in service aces (61, 0.62 apg) and 10th in kills (288, 2.94 kpg) in 98 games.

Middle blocker Elizabeth Earll (Jr., New Freedom, PA/Susquehannock) ranked third in hitting percentage (.334), seventh in kills (307, 3.30), ninth in service aces (50, 0.54) and 12th in blocks (38 solo/19 assisted, 0.61 bpg) in 93 games.

At setter Jen Grue (Sr., Canton, PA/Canton) ranked second in set assists with 1071 in 103 games for an average of 10.40 per game.

Franklin & Marshall (15-13, 7-3 Centennial Conference) finished the season with a 3-2 defeat by Johns Hopkins in the Centennial Conference playoffs as the squad concluded the year ranked third in the Centennial Conference.
