LANCASTER, PA - Franklin & Marshall College libero Meghan Godorov (So., Orefield, PA/Parkland) and the women's volleyball team rank among the nation's best in digs in the final NCAA Division III statistics for the 2003 season.

Individually, she ranked ninth in the nation with 6.48 digs per game as she tallied 654 in 101 games. Overall, she is the only Centennial Conference player ranked among the nation's top 30 in digs and one of only two players ranked in any category as Haverford's Jelyn Meyer (17th in hitting percentage, 0.382) was also ranked.

The November 4 Centennial Conference Player of the Week, Godorov made history in 2003 by shattering the Centennial Conference single season dig record of 586 held by F&M's Heidi Goedicke '03 from the 2000 season.

An All-Centennial Conference second team selection, she became the first libero ever named to the All-Centennial Conference team since the position's inception prior to the 2002 season.

By definition, a libero is a designated back-row player who cannot serve, attack or set inside the attack line and is submitted for defensive purposes.

For her career, she has 1,018 digs, as Godorov is 95 digs away from moving into 10th place on the Franklin & Marshall College volleyball record board. Overall, Goedicke holds the career record in digs with 1,661, a mark Godorov could erase as a junior next season.

As a team, the Diplomats ranked 16th in the nation with 23.0 digs per game (2,369 in 101 games) as the Diplomats are the only CC school ranked in the latest statistics.

Franklin & Marshall (15-13, 7-3 Centennial Conference) finished the season with a 3-2 defeat by Johns Hopkins in the Centennial Conference playoffs as the squad concluded the year ranked third in the Centennial Conference.
