Diplomats Handle Ursinus, Fall to Muhlenberg in Centennial Conference Volleyball Action

LANCASTER, PA - Franklin & Marshall College went 1-1 versus Muhlenberg College and Ursinus College in a Centennial Conference volleyball scramble. Playing without starting middle blocker Liz Earll (Jr., New Freedom, PA/Susquehannock) who was out with an injury, the Diplomats opened the day with a 3-2 loss to Muhlenberg College. The Mules jumped out quickly winning the opening two games by scores of 30-26 and 30-27 before Franklin & Marshall reeled off victories in the next two games by marks of 31-29 and 30-25. In the fifth and deciding game, Muhlenberg outlasted the Diplomats 15-12. In the nightcap, Franklin & Marshall swept Ursinus by scores of 30-17, 30-21 and 30-24. The Diplomats will return to the court on October 29 at home versus Centennial Conference frontrunner Gettysburg College.
