Haas Named to CoSIDA Academic All-District II College Division Volleyball Team

LANCASTER, PA -- The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) has announced that Franklin & Marshall College outside hitter Libby Haas (So., Wrightsville, PA/Eastern) has been named to the 2004 CoSIDA Academic All-District II College Division Women's Volleyball Second Team. In a 20-10 season for the Diplomats in which the team advanced to the Centennial Conference semifinals, she finished the year with 156 kills on 581 attempts for a .169 hitting percentage with one assist, 41 digs, three solo blocks and 15 block assists to raise her career numbers to 204 kills on 760 attempts, five assists, four service aces, 70 digs, 12 solo blocks and 30 block assists in 112 games. Overall, she was one of two Centennial Conference players to earn the award as Gettysburg College’s Nicole Barr also earned second team honors. The District II College Division consists of all NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA colleges and universities in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. To be nominated for the Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.2 or higher cumulative grade-point average and be a starter or significant reserve on her team.
