LANCASTER, PA -- Franklin & Marshall College freshman guard Maura Lentz (Baltimore, MD/Catonsville) made her debut for the Diplomats a memorable one by scoring a game high 16 points, including a four-of-eight performance from beyond the three-point arc, as F&M opened the Centennial Conference women's basketball season with a 93-27 defeat of Bryn Mawr College in the Mayser Center.

The 5-8 guard would tally 10 points in the first half in eight minutes by connecting on four of seven field goal attempts, including two of four three pointers, as the Diplomats built a comfortable lead before the Mawrters sank a field goal.

Overall, Bryn Mawr would connect on six of 25 from the field in the first half as they trailed 54-13 at intermission. All-American guard Amy Kreitz (Sr., Allentown, PA/Salisbury) would remain in the game for only the opening eight minutes of the contest, but tallied 12 points on five of seven shooting.

The key to the game for F&M was turnovers as the Mawrters turned the ball over 20 times in the first half, 36 times in the game, while F&M would permit 16 turnovers, 10 coming in the first half. In steals, F&M swiped 23 balls while Bryn Mawr registered four steals.

Bryn Mawr, which fell to F&M 81-8 in the Mayser Center last year, was led by Vanessa Von Hagen who tallied eight points on four-of-eight shooting before fouling out in the closing minutes of the game. Liz Oliver was the leader in rebounds for Bryn Mawr with five, while Lauren Dodrill (Fr., Timonium, MD/Roland Park Country) smothered 15 rebounds, including 10 defensive boards, as the Diplomats allowed the Mawrters four offensive rebounds in the entire game.

F&M (3-0, 1-0 Centennial Conference) will return to action on Monday at 7:00 p.m. against regional power Gwynedd Mercy College in the Mayser Center before hosting #1 nationally ranked Messiah on November 28th at 6:00 p.m.
