LANCASTER, PA -- Pat Coleman, owner and editor of D3Hoops.com, has announced that the Franklin & Marshall College Diplomats are ranked 28th in the nation in the November 27th edition of the website's Division III national poll.

F&M (3-1, 1-0 Centennial Conference), which received 38 votes, has been led by the play of center Amy Abernathy (So., Far Hills, NJ/American School-Paris) and All-America guard Amy Kreitz (Sr., Allentown, PA/Salisbury).

Abernathy, the November 20 Centennial Conference Player of the Week, leads the team with 16.5 points and 14.3 rebounds per game. Through the team's first four games, Abernathy has recorded double-doubles against Waynesburg (23 points, 15 rebounds), Lycoming (21 points, 19 rebounds) and Gwynedd Mercy (16 points, 13 rebounds).

In the backcourt, Kreitz and guard Lauren Howanski (Sr., Gap, PA/Pequea Valley) round out the top three scorers as they are averaging 16.0 and 12.0 points per game, respectively.

Howanksi, who moved within 54 points of joining Kreitz with 1,000 career points, shot six-of-seven from the field, including two-of-two from three point range, in the second half for 14 points in a 75-69 loss to #23 Gwynedd Mercy College on Monday.

F&M will return to action on Wednesday against #16 nationally ranked Messiah on November 28th at 6:00 p.m. in the Mayser Center. In last year's meeting on January 3, Kreitz would pour in 24 points to lead the Diplomats to a stunning 72-71 win, one of only four losses the Falcons (26-5) suffered during the regular season.

The Diplomats will continue their season on Saturday in the squad's first road game of the year, as the Diplomats will visit Allentown and the Mules of Muhlenberg College for their second Centennial Conference game of the year. Opening tip-off is set for 4:00 p.m.
