Abernathy Named to January 22nd Centennial Conference Women's Basketball Honor Roll

LANCASTER, PA - Franklin & Marshall College center Amy Abernathy (So., Far Hills, NJ/American School Paris) tallied Abernathy tallied 64 points and 32 rebounds on the week for an average of 21.3 points and 10.7 rebounds per game as F&M went 3-0 with wins over Alvernia, Moravian and Gettysburg from the period of January 14 to 21st.

Further she blocked eight shots on the week, including five versus Moravian, and now has 10 double-doubles in 15 games to date this year.

Through fifteen games, she has previously recorded double-doubles against Waynesburg (23 points, 15 rebounds), Lycoming (21 points, 19 rebounds), Gwynedd Mercy (16 points, 13 rebounds), Western Maryland College (16 points, 15 rebounds), Muhlenberg (16 points, 11 rebounds), Drew (12 points, 12 rebounds), Elizabethtown (19 points, 20 rebounds), Ursinus (10 points, 12 rebounds), Moravian (23 points, 10 rebounds) and Dickinson (16 points, 13 rebounds). .

Abernathy now has 406 rebounds in 40 career games to rank 14th on the all-time leader board, and has scored 487 points (12.75 ppg) as she is averaging a double-double for her career.

This season, she leads the Centennial Conference in rebounding with 12.3 boards per game, and ranks fourth in scoring with 15.6 ppg, 2.9 points behind team leader and 2001 Centennial Conference Player of the Year Amy Kreitz (Sr., Allentown, PA/Salisbury).

Franklin & Marshall (11-4, 4-2 Centennial Conference) will continue the season at home on Wednesday, January 23 versus Conference front-runner Johns Hopkins University. Opening tip is set for 7:00 p.m. in the Mayser Center.
