LANCASTER, PA - Franklin & Marshall College guard Amy Kreitz (Sr., Allentown, PA/Salisbury) has been named to the Centennial Conference Women's Basketball Honor Roll for the period of February 4th through 10th. Last week, she scored 24 points in a win over Gettysburg College and then added 16 points in 19 minutes of play versus Haverford to average 20 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game in a 2-0 week. Versus Haverford, she would set several milestones as the senior guard increased her hold on fourth place all-time in scoring at the College as she now has 1,532 points, 30 better than former fourth place holder Laurie Baker '78 (1502) In addition, Kreitz drained her 99th and 100th career 3-pointers versus Haverford, while teammate Lauren Howanski (Sr., Gap, PA/Pequea Valley) now has 103, as the pair are ranked fourth and third, respectively in the category at the College. Further, Howanski and Kreitz became the 10th and 11th Conference players to knock down 100 or more three-pointers as both are chasing Dina White '94 for second on the all-time list at the College. In Centennial Conference games, Kreitz ranks first in scoring with 19.0 points per game as the Diplomats are 10-2 and in first place in the CC Western Division. Through 21 games, she ranks third in scoring among Centennial Conference players with 18.7 points per game, trailing Heather Kile (19.2) and Katie Robinson (19.8) of Swarthmore College. For her career, Kreitz now ranks seventh in scoring in the Conference, just eight points behind sixth place Annie Guzek '96 of Dickinson College who tallied 1,544 from 1994-96. She has the opportunity to move into the top four scorers in Conference history, as Kreitz is 44 points shy of surpassing Kim Selemba '01 of Dickinson College (1,575). The Diplomats can clinch a playoff berth with one win and the top spot throughout the Conference tournament with a pair of wins over their next two games. Due to a victory over Johns Hopkins University earlier in the season, F&M can also take the No. 1 seed with a combination of a win and a Hopkins' loss. Franklin & Marshall (17-4, 10-2 Centennial Conference) will finish the regular season with a pair of road games as the Diplomats visit Dickinson College at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 13, before travelling south to face Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore at 3:00 p.m. in Baltimore. Game time versus the Blue Jays is set for 3:00 p.m.
