LANCASTER, PA - Pat Colemen, owner and publisher of D3Hoops.com and D3Football.com, has announced that Franklin & Marshall women's basketball guard Amy Kreitz (Sr., Allentown, PA/Salisbury) has been named to the second team of the inaugural D3Hoops.com Mid-Atlantic Region Team as voted on by the region's sports information directors.

For Kreitz, who was named to the 2002 Verizon Academic All-District II College Division Third Team for outstanding performance both on the court and in the classroom, the honor marks the second consecutive year that D3Hoops.com has recognized the senior guard. A 2002 pre-season Second Team All-American, she was named to the website's Honorable Mention All-America squad in 2001.

Due to her selection to the All-Region team, Kreitz is now eligible for the D3Hoops.com All-America team, to be announced during the Division III Women's Final Four this weekend in Terre Haute, Indiana.

For her career, Kreitz ranks among the College's all-time leaders in several categories.

The fourth all-time leading scorer in F&M history with 1,651 career points, 15 short of surpassing Cathy Belser '90 for third on the all-time list, she is ranked among the leaders in assists (225, sixth), steals (281, second), three point field goals (103, fourth), three-point percentage (35.0 percent, fourth) and rebounding (489, 12th).

During the regular season, Kreitz led the Diplomats and ranked second in the Centennial Conference with an 18.9 scoring average, third in the CC in steals (3.08), eighth in three-point percentage (30.4), 11th in free-throw percentage (65.9) and 15th in assist/turnover ratio (0.85).

The 2001 Centennial Conference Player of the Year, she is fourth on the all-time Centennial Conference scoring list as she surpassed Dickinson's Kim Selemba '01 (1,575) with 18 points in a 61-56 CC semi-finals loss to Swarthmore on February 20th in the Mayser Center.

The Centennial Conference all-time steals leader with 281, she is 14th on the CC three-point field goals list, two buckets behind teammate Lauren Howanski (Sr., Gap, PA/Pequea Valley).

Franklin & Marshall finished the season 20-7 and advanced to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) South Region Championship game, as the team achieved the first 20-win season since 1991 when the Diplomats went 21-6 under head coach Rebecca Lovett.
