LANCASTER, PA - Steve Ulrich, Executive Secretary of the Centennial Conference, announced that Franklin & Marshall College's Amy Abernathy (Jr., Far Hills, NJ/American School-Paris) has been named to the women's basketball honor roll for the week of November 18th - November 24th. In a 1-1 week for the Diplomats, Abernathy scored 35 points and pulled down 25 rebounds as the Diplomats finished second in their own 15th Annual Women's Basketball Tip-Off Tournament. In the championship game, she recorded a double double with 26 points and 12 rebounds versus Lebanon Valley College in an 80-78 loss to earn All-Tournament team honors. Versus Trinity College of Washington D.C. in the opening round, she scored nine points and pulled down a game high 13 rebounds to lead the Diplomats to a 85-28 win over the Tigers. Franklin & Marshall College will continue the season on November 26 when they travel to Bryn Mawr College to open the 2002-03 Centennial Conference season. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
