Diplomats Double-Up Bryn Mawr 58-29 in Women's Basketball

BRYN MAWR, PA -- Guard Maura Lentz (So., Baltimore, MD/Catonsville) led the way with 10 points as fourteen different Franklin & Marshall College women's basketball players scored in a 58-29 win over Bryn Mawr College in both team's Centennial Conference season opener.

The performance marked her second standout game in a row against Bryn Mawr as she scored a game high 16 points, including a four-of-eight performance from beyond the three-point arc, in a 93-27 victory last year in the Mayser Center.

This year, the Diplomats (2-1, 1-0 Centennial Conference) dominated the game from the opening tip as F&M pulled out to a 32-7 lead at halftime behind six points and seven rebounds from Lauren Dodrill (So., Timonium, MD/Roland Park).

For the game, Dodrill finished with 12 rebounds, nine points, two assists, two blocks and two steals in 25 minutes as the Diplomats shot 24-of-55 from the field and five-of-ten at the free-throw line to double-up the Owls.

Overall, F&M shot 52 percent (13-of-25) from the floor in the first half, including two-of-five from three-point range to knock off the Owls and move to 1-0 in Conference play.

Vanessa von Hagen led Bryn Mawr (0-3, 0-1 Centennial Conference) with 11 points and five rebounds.

The win improves F&M to 10-0 all-time against Bryn Mawr as the Diplomats have outscored the Owls 232-64 over the last three years.

Franklin & Marshall will continue the season on December 3 at Gwynedd Mercy College. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
