Tierney Named to December 9 Centennial Conference Women's Basketball Honor Roll

LANCASTER, PA - Steve Ulrich, Executive Secretary of the Centennial Conference, announced that Franklin & Marshall College guard Courtney Tierney (Jr., Princeton, NJ/The Hun School) has been named to the women's basketball honor roll for the week of December 2-8.

Tierney averaged 17.5 points per game in a 1-1 week for the Diplomats. She scored 23 points, brought down seven rebounds, dished out two assists and had three steals in a win 73-65 at Gwynedd Mercy College. In the team's Centennial Conference home opener, she scored 12 points, brought down five rebounds and added four assists in a 74-62 loss to Muhlenberg College.

She ranks among the Centennial Conference leaders in scoring (12.6, 8th), field goal percentage (.429, 9th), assists (3.20, 10th), three-point field goal percentage (.368, 8th) and three-point field goals made (1.40, 11th).

As a team the Diplomats rank among the CC's best in scoring offense (71.2, 2nd), scoring defense (55.2, 2nd), scoring margin (+16.0, 1st), field goal percentage (.423, 3rd), field goal percentage defense (.311, 1st), three-point field goal percentage (.377, 1st), three-point field goal percentage defense (.234, 1st), rebounding offense (48.2, 1st), rebounding defense (37.4, 2nd), rebounding margin (+10.8, 1st), blocked shots (3.60, 1st), assists (13.20, 5th), steals (10.20, 5th), offensive rebounds (28.00, 2nd), defensive rebounds (30.20, 2nd) and three point field goals made (5.20, 3rd).

Franklin & Marshall (3-2, 1-1 Centennial Conference) will return to action with two home games this weekend. On December 13th, the Diplomats will square off at 7:00 p.m. with non-conference opponent Albright College. On December 15th, Franklin & Marshall will conclude the first semester's schedule with a 2:00 p.m. game versus McDaniel College.
