Johns Named to December 1 Centennial Conference Women's Basketball Honor Roll

LANCASTER, PA -- Franklin & Marshall College point guard Dana Johns (So., York, PA/Eastern York) has been named to the December 1 Centennial Conference Women's Basketball Honor Roll for her performance in a 66-58 loss at Muhlenberg College last week.

In the game, she poured in 14 points on five-of-12 shooting from the field and four-of-six from beyond the arc with three rebounds, six assists and five steals against the Mules. Overall, she scored 12 of her game high 14 points in the first half on four-of-six shooting from the field along with four-of-five from beyond the three-point arc as the Diplomats built a 37-25 halftime lead.

However, Muhlenberg College made 16-of-21 free throw opportunities in the second half while holding Franklin & Marshall to two foul shots to overcame the halftime deficit to drop in 41 second half points while holding Franklin & Marshall to nine field goals and three treys to take the victory.

In a game marked by a 21-of-27 performance by the Mules at the foul-line, the Diplomats got the better of play outshooting Muhlenberg from the field (39.7% to 29.2%) and three-point distance (53.3% to 14.3%) while making more field goals (25-of-63 to 21-of-72) and three-pointers (8-of-15 to 3-of-21).

On the year, Johns ranks among the Centennial Conference's best in assists (7th, 3.33 apg), steals (3rd, 4.33 spg), three point field goal percentage (8th, .385) and three point field goals made (5th, five) in three games.

She leads a team which ranks among the Conference best in blocked shots (2nd, 4.67 bpg), free throw percentage (2nd, .696), three point field goal percentage (2nd, .370), assists (3rd, 14.33 apg), defensive rebounds (3rd, 30.33 rpg), three point field goals made (3rd, 17), field goal percentage (4th, .364), field goal percentage defense (4th, .357), rebounding margin (4th, +3.7) and three point field goal percentage defense (6th, .288).

Franklin & Marshall (0-3, 0-1 Centennial Conference) will return to the court on December 4th at home versus Messiah College. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
