Abernathy Ranks Among Nation's Best in January 27 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Statistics

LANCASTER, PA - Franklin & Marshall College center Amy Abernathy (Jr., Far Hills, NJ/American School Paris) ranks 22nd in field goal percentage in the latest NCAA statistics for games through January 26.

Abernathy, who was shooting 55.4 percent based off 87 field goals on 157 attempts through Sunday, leads F&M in field goal percentage, points (14.9 ppg), rebounds (10.6 rpg), offensive rebounds (71), defensive rebounds (98), blocks (32) and minutes (26.5 per game) as the Diplomats are 9-7, 3-4 in the Centennial Conference.

For her career, Abernathy has 919 points and 733 rebounds as she is on pace to become the 12th member of the 1,000 point club in women's basketball history at the College. Further, she may become the second player in men's and/or women's basketball history to achieve a double-grand joining Anne Krumrine '90 (1,811 points & 1,180 rebounds).

Franklin & Marshall will return to action on February 1 when they travel to Washington College. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m.
