Abernathy Named to February 10 Centennial Conference Women's Basketball Honor Roll

LANCASTER, PA - Steve Ulrich, Executive Secretary of the Centennial Conference, announced that Franklin & Marshall College center Amy Abernathy (Jr., Far Hills, NJ/American School - Paris) has been named to the women's basketball honor roll for the week of February 3rd-9th. In a 0-2 week for the Diplomats, she averaged 21.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 2.0 steals per game as Franklin & Marshall fell to McDaniel (68-60 OT) and Swarthmore (70-63).
For her career, Abernathy has 985 points and 762 rebounds
as she is on pace to become the 12th member of the 1,000 point
club in women's basketball history at the College. Further,
she may become the second player in men's and/or women's basketball
history to achieve a double-grand joining Anne Krumrine '90
(1,811 points & 1,180
rebounds). In the latest CC statistics, Abernathy ranks in scoring (16.0, fifth), rebounding (10.4, third), field goal percentage (.561, second), steals (2.21, sixth), blocked shots (2.16, second), offensive rebounds (4.37, first) and defensive rebounds (6.05, third). Franklin & Marshall (10-9, 4-6 Centennial Conference) will return to action on February 12 at home versus Gettysburg College. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
