Three Women's Basketball Players Named to Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll

LANCASTER, PA -- Nineteen Franklin & Marshall College athletes have been recognized for their performance in the classroom and on the field with their selection to the 2003 Centennial Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll.

To be named to the Academic Honor Roll, a student must be a sophomore, junior or senior; a starter or key reserve on the team; and carry at least a 3.40 cumulative grade point average.

In women's basketball, Lauren Dodrill (So., Timonium, MD/Roland Park), Ann Parker (Jr., Baltimore, MD/Notre Dame), and Kelly Witkowski (Sr, Colts Neck, NJ/Marlboro) were three of 25 players honored by the Conference.

Matt Denker (Sr., Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East), Mike Marzelli (Jr., Ossining, NY/Hackley), Brett Murphy (So., Brookhaven, PA/Sun Valley) and Andrey Voynov (Jr., Sofia, Bulgaria/American College) were four of 15 athletes on the men's swimming honor roll, while Jennifer Conklin (So., Orefield, PA/Parkland), Sabrina Hershey (Sr., Needham, MA/Ursuline Academy) and Sara Ziegler (Jr., Dallastown, PA/Dallastown) joined 24 other athletes on the women's swimming honor roll.

Nine members of the indoor track team were also honored as Matt Batzel (So., Susquehanna, PA/Susquehanna), Bob Berkey (So., Brookhaven, PA,/Sun Valley), Mark Binkley (Sr., Lemoyne, PA/Cedar Cliff), Adam Brower (So, Havertown, PA/Haverford), Luke Oeding (Sr., Lancaster, PA/Manheim Township), Bryn Benford (So, Malvern, PA/Great Valley), Jaclyn Bentley (Sr., Mercersburg, PA/James Buchanan), Kate Harwood (Sr., Ledyard, CT/Ledyard) and Emily Hughes (Sr., Springfield, VT/Springfield) were recognized on the 93 member track honor roll.

The Centennial Conference selects Academic Honor Rolls in each of its 24 championship sports.
