Women's Basketball Advances in Goombay Shootout with 58-55 Win Over Nassau Select

Nassau, Bahamas - The Franklin & Marshall College women's basketball team earned a 58-55 win over Nassau Select to advance to a title game showdown with Carnegie Mellon University at the Goombay Shootout.

Nassau had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds, but a desperation three-pointer rimmed out at the buzzer.

F&M will now face Carnegie Mellon University, a 59-54 winner over #9 nationally ranked Kings College, on Monday in the title game.

Statistically, the win does not count on the Diplomats' season record due to Nassau being an all-star team. Further, since the game is considered a scrimmage, the statistics registered in the game do not count in the players' season or career averages.
