LANCASTER, PA - Franklin & Marshall College center Amy Abernathy (Sr., Far Hills, NJ/American School Paris) and point guard Dana Johns (So., York, PA/Eastern York) rank among the national leaders in the latest NCAA Division III women's basketball statistics for games through January 11.

A 2004 D3hoops.com Preseason All-America selection, Abernathy ranks second in the nation in rebounding with 15. 2 boards per game, a tenth of a rebound behind national leader Jacclyn Rock of Staten Island (15.3 rpg).

Following a 65-64 loss at Swarthmore College on January 13 in which she tallied 18 points, 11 rebounds and four blocked shots, she is now averaging 14.8 rebounds, 16.1 points and 3.9 blocked shots per game.

A 2004 D3hoops.com preseason All-America selection, she now has 1,249 points, 967 rebounds and 201 blocks as she is on pace to join Anne Krumrine '90 and Tina Breithaupt '94 as the only players in program history to finish with 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in their careers.

In the history of the program, she is third in blocked shots, ninth in scoring and third in rebounding as she could challenge Krumrine's first place mark in rebounding (1,180).

Further, she is now two points shy of surpassing Michele Fisher '89 (1,250) for eighth in scoring and 16 blocks short of moving past Breithaupt (216) for second in blocked shots in program history.

In steals, Johns ranks 34th in steals with an average of 3.6 per game, 1.9 behind national leader Christina Argentina of St. Joseph's College, Long Island (5.5 spg).

Through the first 11 games of the season, Johns leads the team in steals with 39.
