LANCASTER, PA - Franklin & Marshall College center Amy Abernathy (Sr., Far Hills, NJ/American School - Paris) has been named the January 12th Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

The January 11th Centennial Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week, she averaged 19.5 points, 18.5 rebounds, 8.0 blocked shots and 3.5 steals in a 1-1 week for the Diplomats. On January 7 at McDaniel, she scored 20 points, grabbed 19 boards, blocked eight shots and recorded three steals in a 68-56 loss.

A 2004 D3hoops.com Preseason All-America selection, she now has 1,249 points, 967 rebounds and 201 blocks as she is on pace to join Anne Krumrine '90 and Tina Breithaupt '94 as the only players in program history to finish with 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in their careers.
