Tierney Named to January 19 Centennial Conference Women's Basketball Honor Roll

LANCASTER, PA - Franklin & Marshall College guard Courtney Tierney (Sr., Princeton, NJ/The Hun School) has been named to the January 19 Centennial Conference Women's Basketball Honor Roll.

Last week, she scored 40 points, dished out nine assists and recorded two steals as the Diplomats went 1-1.

In a 65-64 loss to Swarthmore, she scored 19 points off the bench on six-of-eleven shooting from the field including a perfect four-of-four from behind the tree-point arc. On Saturday, she tallied 21 points on seven-of-ten shooting from the field, including four-of-five from the three-point line, while handing out five assists and recording two steals versus Washington in a 77-42 victory.

In the latest Centennial Conference statistics, she ranks third in three-point field goals (2.08 3pg), fourth in scoring (15.2 ppg), seventh in assists (3.25 apg), 11th in three-point field goal percentage (.333), 13th in free throw percentage (.694) and 15th in assist/turnover ratio (0.72) as the Diplomats have opened the season with a 5-7 mark, 5-3 in Centennial Conference play.

As a team, F&M ranks among the Conference leaders in scoring offense (sixth, 66.1 ppg), scoring defense (fifth, 59.8 ppg), scoring margin (fifth, +6.3 ppg), free throw percentage (sixth, .667), field goal percentage (third, .420), field goal percentage defense (fifth, .368), three point field goal percentage (first, .365), three point field goal percentage defense (eighth, .310), rebounding offense (eighth, 39.3 rpg), rebounding defense (fifth, 39.4 rpg), blocked shots (second, 4.33 bpg), assists (third, 16.58 apg), steals (sixth, 11.00 spg), turnover margin (fifth, 0.75), assist/turnover ratio (third, 0.76), offensive rebounds (seventh, 14.00 rpg), defensive rebounds (ninth, 25.33 rpg) and three point field goals made (second, 5.42 3pg).

Franklin & Marshall will return to action on January 22 at Dickinson College. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
