Johns Named to February 7 Centennial Conference Women's Basketball Honor Roll

LANCASTER, PA – Franklin & Marshall College point guard Dana Johns (Jr., York, PA/Eastern York) has been named to the February 7 Centennial Conference women’s basketball honor roll.

In a 1-2 week for the Diplomats, she averaged 20.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 3.6 steals as the Diplomats defeated Ursinus (71-62 W) and fell to Johns Hopkins (60-42 L) and Elizabethtown (82-68 L).

Against Ursinus, Johns connected on 11-of-17 from the field, including four-of-eight from beyond the arc, and five-of-seven at the free throw line for a game high 31 points for the 13th 30-point game in school history and the first since center Amy Abernathy ’04 tallied 30 points in an 80-66 win over Haverford in Mayser on February 15, 2003.

Further, she tied Laurie Baker for the 10th most points ever scored in a game as Baker registered 31 points in a win over the Bears in 1975.

In the latest Centennial Conference statistics, she leads the conference in scoring (16.4 ppg) while ranking 15th in field goal percentage (.429), second in free-throw percentage (.787), third in steals (3.20 spg) and three-point field goals made (2.25 pg), fourth in assists (3.25 apg) and three-point field goal percentage (.421) and sixth in assist to turnover ratio (+1.32).

Franklin & Marshall (9-11, 7-6 CC) will return to the court on February 8 when they travel to Dickinson College. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
