Diplomats Rank Among National Leaders in February 6 NCAA Women's Basketball Statistics

LANCASTER, PA – Guards Dana Johns (Sr., York, PA/Eastern York) and Sarah Meisenberg (Fr., Severna, Park, MD/Severn School) and forward Brittany Braxton (So., Pearl River, NY/Nanuet) are ranked among the national leaders in the February 6 NCAA Division III women’s basketball statistics. The 2005 Centennial Conference Player of the Year, Johns is ranked 48th in the nation in free throw shooting percentage as she is converting 83.3% of her opportunities at the line (65-of-78) and ranks 56th in three point field goals per game with 2.3 per contest (46 in 20 games). Meisenberg ranks 64th in free throw percentage as she is shooting 81.9% at the charity stripe (59-of-72). Braxton ranks 54th in rebounds per game with 9.9 per contest as she has pulled down 197 (81 offensive, 116 defensive) in 20 games to date. As a team, the Diplomats rank 44th in free throw percentage (71.8%) and 66th in three point field goals per game as Franklin & Marshall has connected on 275-of-383 at the charity stripe and 110-of-372 beyond the arc. Franklin & Marshall College (7-13, 4-9 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on February 7 at Dickinson College. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
