Diplomats Rank Among Leaders in January 16 NCAA Women's Basketball Statistics

LANCASTER, PA – Guards Dana Johns (Sr., York, PA/Eastern York), forward Brittany Braxton (So., Pearl River, NY/Nanuet), guard Sarah Meisenberg (Fr., Severna Par, MD/Severn School) and Franklin & Marshall College are ranked among the national leaders in the January 16 NCAA Division III women’s basketball statistics.

The 2005 Centennial Conference Player of the Year, Johns is ranked 17th in the nation in free throw shooting percentage as she is converting 88.5% of her opportunities at the line (46-of-52).

Meisenberg ranks 72nd in the nation in free throw percentage making 82.2% of her chances at the line (37-of-45), while Braxton ranks 71st in rebounds per game with 9.6 per contest as she has pulled down 115 (47 offensive, 68 defensive) in 12 games.

As a team, the Diplomats rank 43rd in free throw percentage at 71.7% as Franklin & Marshall has connected on 177-of-247 at the charity stripe.

Franklin & Marshall College (4-8, 2-4 CC) will continue the season on January 18 at home versus Johns Hopkins University. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Mayser Center.
