Diplomats Rank Among National Free-Throw Leaders in January 2 NCAA Women's Basketball Statistics

LANCASTER, PA – Guards Sarah Meisenberg (Fr., Severna Park, MD/Severn School) and Dana Johns (Sr., York, PA/Eastern York) are ranked 29th and 33rd, respectively, in free-throw percentage in the January 2 NCAA Division III women’s basketball statistics. On the year, Meisenberg has drained 25-of-29 (86.2%) at the charity stripe while tallying 72 points, 27 rebounds, 18 assists, one block and 16 steals as she is averaging 10.3 points per game. The 2005 Centennial Conference Player of the Year, Johns is shooting 85.7% at the line (30-of-35) and leads the team in scoring (11.9 ppg), assists (3.1 apg), steals (2.6 spg), minutes played (36.3 mpg), three-point attempts (5.6 apg), three-point field goals made (1.9 pg), field goal attempts (13.1 apg) and free-throw attempts (5.0 apg), while ranking third in three-point percentage (33.3%), free-throw percentage (85.7%) and rebounds (4.6 rpg). As a team, the Diplomats rank 16th in free throw percentage (75.6%) as the team has made 121-of-160 shots at the charity stripe. Franklin & Marshall College (2-5, 1-2 CC) will continue the season on January 6-7 at the Moravian College Starters Tournament. On January 6, the Diplomats will take to the floor versus Delaware Valley College at 6:00 p.m. with a match-up between the host Greyhounds and Albany College of Pharmacy at 8:00 p.m. The consolation and championship games of the tournament are set for 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., respectively, on January 7.
