Diplomats Rank Among National Free Throw Leaders in January 9 NCAA Women's Hoops Statistics

LANCASTER, PA – Guard Dana Johns (Sr., York, PA/Eastern York)
and Franklin & Marshall College are ranked among the national
leaders in free-throw percentage in the January 9 NCAA Division
III women’s basketball statistics.
The 2005 Centennial Conference Player of the Year, Johns was shooting 85.7% at the line through games of January 8. Following a six-for-six performance at the line in a loss at Muhlenberg College, she is now converting 87.5% of her opportunities at the charity stripe as Johns has made 42-of-48 at the line this year. As a team, the Diplomats rank 17th in free throw percentage (74.2%). Following the Muhlenberg game, the team is now shooting 73.4% as the Diplomats have made 149-of-203 shots at the line. Franklin & Marshall College (3-7, 1-3 CC) will continue the season on January 12 at home versus Washington College. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m. at the Mayser Center.
