Mort, Rutherford & Diplomats Rank Among Leaders in March 27 NCAA Women's Lacrosse Statistics

LANCASTER, PA – Franklin & Marshall College goalie Kamissa Mort (Sr., Ashton, MD/Sandy Spring), defender Holly Rutherford (Sr., Rochester, NY/Brighton) and the Diplomats’ women’s lacrosse team are ranked among the national leaders in the March 27 NCAA women’s lacrosse statistics for games through March 26. As a team, the Diplomats are ranked 32nd in ground balls (32.0 per game), 26th in scoring offense (13.17 goals per game), 27th in scoring defense (8.0 goals per game), 25th in scoring margin (+5.17 goals per game), 18th in winning percentage (83.3%), 13th in draw controls (14.17 per game) and sixth in caused turnovers (16.33 per game). Individually, Mort is ranked 21st in goals against average (7.8 per game), while Rutherford is sixth in caused turnovers (3.33 per game). Following a 15-7 win at Swarthmore College on March 28, Mort is now allowing 7.80 goals per game with 41 saves and 39 goals against for a .512 save percentage and 4-1 record, while Rutherford has 20 caused turnovers in six games (3.3 per game). Ranked #7 in the Laxpower Computer Rankings, #8 in the latest Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Poll and #10 in the Inside Lacrosse poll, Franklin & Marshall (6-1, 2-0 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on April 1 versus Muhlenberg College in Centennial Conference action at Sponaugle-Williamson Field. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m.
