Mort, Rutherford & Diplomats Rank Among National Leaders in April 3 NCAA Women's Lacrosse Statistics

LANCASTER, PA – Franklin & Marshall College goalie Kamissa Mort (Sr., Ashton, MD/Sandy Spring), defender Holly Rutherford (Sr., Rochester, NY/Brighton) and the Diplomats’ women’s lacrosse team are ranked among the national leaders in the April 3 NCAA women’s lacrosse statistics for games through April 2. As a team, the Diplomats are ranked 25th in ground balls (31.88 per game), 15th in scoring offense (14.0 goals per game), 23rd in scoring defense (7.63 goals per game), 17th in scoring margin (+6.38 goals per game), 13th in winning percentage (87.5%), ninth in draw controls (14.25 per game) and 11th in caused turnovers (15.00 per game). Individually, Mort is ranked 18th in goals against average (7.45 per game), while Rutherford is eighth in caused turnovers (3.0 per game). Following an 8-7 loss in sudden death overtime at #3 Gettysburg College, Mort is now allowing 7.39 goals per game with 59 saves and 59 goals against for a .500 save percentage and 6-2 record, while Rutherford has 25 caused turnovers in nine games (2.78 per game). Ranked #7 in the Laxpower Computer Rankings, #9 in the latest Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Poll and #10 in the Inside Lacrosse poll, Franklin & Marshall (7-2, 3-1 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on April 8 at #17 Ursinus College in Centennial Conference action. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m.
