Diplomats Rank Among National Leaders in April 10 NCAA Women's Lacrosse Statistics

LANCASTER, PA – Franklin & Marshall College goalie Kamissa Mort (Sr., Ashton, MD/Sandy Spring), defender Holly Rutherford (Sr., Rochester, NY/Brighton) and the Diplomats’ women’s lacrosse team are ranked among the national leaders in the April 10 NCAA women’s lacrosse statistics for games through April 2. As a team, the Diplomats are ranked 23rd in scoring offense (13.4 goals per game), 15th in scoring defense (7.1 goals per game), 18th in scoring margin (+6.3 goals per game), 19th in winning percentage (80.0%), 14th in draw controls (13.3 per game) and 10th in caused turnovers (14.2 per game). Individually, Mort is ranked 11th in goals against average (6.79 per game), while Rutherford is 22nd in caused turnovers (2.7 per game). Following a 15-2 win at Ursinus College, Mort has 62 saves and 61 goals against for a .504 save percentage and 7-2 record, while Rutherford has 31 caused turnovers. Ranked #6 in the Laxpower Computer Rankings, #5 in the latest Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Poll and #9 in the Inside Lacrosse poll, Franklin & Marshall (8-2, 4-1 Centennial Conference) will continue the season on April 12 at McDaniel College in Centennial Conference action. Game time is set for 4:30 p.m.
