LANCASTER, PA – The Franklin & Marshall College women's lacrosse team is ranked eighth in the April 24 Laxpower.com Computer Rankings. Ranked seventh in the March 27 and April 3 polls and sixth in the April 10 and 17 polls, the Diplomats finished the regular season 12-3, 8-1 in the Centennial Conference to clinch the #2 seed for the upcoming Centennial Conference playoffs on April 29-30 at Gettysburg College. On Saturday, the Diplomats will take on #3 seed Dickinson College 45 minutes following the conclusion of the other semifinal between #1 seed Gettysburg College and either #5 seed Swarthmore College or #4 seed Ursinus College. The winner of the semifinals will clash at 1:00 p.m. at Gettysburg in the Centennial Conference championship game with a berth in the NCAA playoffs on the line. One of the most successful Division III women’s lacrosse programs in the nation, Franklin & Marshall has captured six conference titles as the Diplomats have competed in 14 national championship tournaments and recorded a mark of 292-148-3 in 30 yards of competition.
