Mort, Rutherford & Diplomats Rank Among Leaders in April 24 NCAA Women's Lacrosse Statistics

LANCASTER, PA – Franklin & Marshall College goalie Kamissa Mort (Sr., Ashton, MD/Sandy Spring), defender Holly Rutherford (Sr., Rochester, NY/Brighton) and the Diplomats’ women’s lacrosse team are ranked among the national leaders in the April 24 NCAA women’s lacrosse statistics for games through April 23.

As a team, the Diplomats are ranked 15th in scoring offense (14.27 gpg) and winning percentage (80.0%), 17th in scoring defense (7.6 gpg), 16th in scoring margin (6.67 gpg) and caused turnovers (13.33 ctpg) and seventh in draw controls (14.2 per game).

Individually, Mort is ranked 13th in goals against average (7.49 per game), while Rutherford is 25th in caused turnovers (2.6 per game).

For the year, Mort has 94 saves and 101 goals against for a .482 save percentage, 7.49 goals against average and 11-3 record, while Rutherford has 41 caused turnovers.

Ranked #8 in the latest Laxpower.com, Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Poll and Inside Lacrosse polls, the Diplomats finished the regular season 12-3, 8-1 in the Centennial Conference to clinch the #2 seed for the upcoming Centennial Conference playoffs on April 29-30 at Gettysburg College.

On Saturday, the Diplomats will take on #3 seed Dickinson College 45 minutes following the conclusion of the other semifinal between #1 seed Gettysburg College and either #5 seed Swarthmore College or #4 seed Ursinus College.

The winners of the semifinals will clash at 1:00 p.m. at Gettysburg in the Centennial Conference championship game with a berth in the NCAA playoffs on the line.
