LANCASTER, PA – The Franklin & Marshall College women's lacrosse team remained #8 in the May 1 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Division III Poll. Ranked #10 in the preseason poll, #12 on March 13, #10 on March 20, #8 on March 27 and April 24, #9 on April 3, #5 on April 10 and #6 on April 17, the Diplomats earned the #2 seed for the Centennial Conference playoffs. In the playoffs, F&M knocked off third-seed and #13 ranked Dickinson College 15-12 in the semifinals before falling to first-seed and #1 ranked Gettysburg College 8-6 in the title game. Franklin & Marshall (13-4, 8-1 Centennial Conference) is awaiting word from the National Collegiate Athletic Association regarding a possible at-large bid to the NCAA’s national championship playoffs. The announcement will be made on Sunday, May 7 between 9 and 10 p.m. on College Sports Television.
