#1 Yale Defeats #20 Franklin & Marshall 9-0 in Women's Squash

LANCASTER, PA – #1 nationally ranked Yale University used nine 3-0 victories to defeat #20 Franklin & Marshall College 9-0 in women’s squash at the Mayser Center.

The Bulldogs improve to 21-1 all-time against the Diplomats as Yale has won the past 15 meetings between the two programs.

Miranda Ranieri held off Freddy McNeely (Jr., Newtown Square, PA/Hill School) 9-0, 9-1, 9-0 at #1, Jessica Mitchell (Jr., Devonshire, Bermuda/Canterbury School) fell to Catherine McLeod at #2, Amy Gross downed Davinia Buckley (Fr., Atlanta, GA/Pomfret School) 9-0, 9-0, 9-1 at #3, Amanda Lesko (So., Denver, CO/St. Mary’s Academy) fell to Lauren McCrery 9-0, 9-3, 9-1 at #4 and Tracey Sole (Fr., Glendale, Zimbabwe/Peterhouse Girls School) was stopped 9-1, 9-2, 9-2 at #5 by Sarah Barenbaum as the Bulldogs locked up the win.

Franklin & Marshall (2-3) will continue the season on January 13-15 at Amherst College.
