HAVERFORD, PA - Keith Hamilton (Sr., Willow Grove, PA/Upper Moreland) placed first in the triple jump, and Luke Oeding (Jr., Lancaster, PA/Manheim Township) finished second in the pole vault to lead the Franklin & Marshall College Diplomats indoor track team at the Keogh Invitational at Haverford College. Hamilton, who placed sixth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 51.7 seconds, leapt 11.57 to claim the triple jump, edging out teammate Adam Brower (Fr., Havertown, PA/Haverford) who placed second. Oeding, the school and Centennial Conference record-holder in vault, placed second as Gettysburg's Scott Ashman missed fewer attempts. In the 800 meter run, Paul Keen (Sr., Shaker Heights, OH/Shaker Heights) placed eighth in 2:03.5, while Brower placed ninth in the 55-meters dash in 6.6 seconds. In women's action, Jeannette Finster (So., LaCanada, CA/Flintridge Preparatory) set the new women's indoor track 800 meter run record in 2:27.0, 0.14 faster than the previous record of 2:27.14 set by Samantha Pollinger (So., Mahwah, NJ/Northern Highlands) earlier this year. Bryn Benford (Fr., Malvern, PA/Great Valley) placed fourth in the high jump (4'6") and triple jump (9.86) as the Diplomats finished their regular season.
