MEDFORD, MA - Franklin & Marshall College's Luke Oeding (Jr., Lancaster, PA/Manheim Township) placed seventh in the pole vault with a height of 14-01.25 to lead a select group of Diplomats' at the 2002 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Indoor Track Championships at Tufts University. In other action, sprinter Keith Hamilton (Sr., Willow Grove, PA/Upper Moreland) crossed the finish line 17th in 1:08.58, less than one second behind event champion Greg Lambert of Frostburg State University (1:07.85). Jackie Bentley (Jr., Mercersburg, PA/James Buchanan) notched a 32nd place finish in the women's 200 meter dash in 28.22, while Bryn Benford (Fr., Malvern, PA/Great Valley) was 34th in the triple jump with a distance of 32-09.00. Franklin & Marshall concludes in the indoor track season and will now prepare for the opening of the outdoor track and field season on March 23 at the Swarthmore College Invitational in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania. The Diplomats will then continue the season at Haverford College (March 30), Duke University (April 5-6), Widener University (April 20), the Penn Relays (April 25-26), the Millersville Metrics (April 27), the Centennial Conference Championships at Ursinus College (May 3-5) and the ECAC Championships (May 16-17). Franklin & Marshall will host one home meet in 2002, as Gettysburg and Dickinson Colleges will come to F&M's Sponaugle-Williamson Field for the annual Little Three Championships on April 10.
