Department of Athletics Announces Class of 2006 Women's Track & Field Recruits

Lancaster, Pa. - The Franklin and Marshall College Athletic Department announced today that the following list of recruits have submitted their deposit and will join the F&M women's track & field team:

F&M, which finished 9th at the indoor track and 10th at the outdoor track & field championships, will look to junior Jeanette Finster (LaCanada, CA/Flintridge Prep) to make an impact following a season in which she broke the College's 800 meters record at the CC outdoor championships,

Finster's time of 2:18.60 bettered the previous F&M best of 2:18.88 set by Lois Lucente '86 during the 1985 season.

Founded in 1787, Franklin & Marshall College is a coeducational, liberal arts institution. Approximately 1,850 students from 40 states and 60 foreign countries are enrolled in the college's 36 academic disciplines. Franklin & Marshall College supports 26 intercollegiate athletic teams, all on the NCAA Division III level except wrestling (NCAA Division I) and men's and women's squash (independent). F&M also supports multiple club and intramural activities for both men and women.
