NEW HAVEN, CT - The Franklin & Marshall College women's 4X400 meter team of Jeanette Finster (Jr., LaCanada, CA/Flintridge Preparatory), Brittney Dhein (Fr., Telford, PA/Pennridge), Elizabeth Randolph (Fr., St. Davids, PA/Episcopal Academy) and Tara Cooney (Fr., Douglaston, NY/St. Francis) broke the school record of 4:26.52 as the Diplomats competed at the Yale University Invitational. The mark eclipsed the previous record set by Jackie Bentley (Sr., Mercersburg, PA/James Buchanan), Susanne Daley '02, Sam Pollinger (Jr., Mahwah, NJ/Northern Highlands) and Finster during the 2002 season. Finster recorded the top individual performance of the as she crossed the line in 2:30.88 to place sixth in the 800 meter run. Benford placed eighth in the triple jump with a leap of 33' 07.50 and Pollinger rounded out the Diplomats' top 10 finishers by placing 10th in the 3,000 meter run in 12:24.84. Franklin & Marshall will continue the season on January 17 at the DuCharme Relays.
