Women's 4X400 Relay Team Places Ninth in Centennial/MAC Heat at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Franklin & Marshall College team of Beth Randolph (Fr., St. Davids, PA/Episcopal Academy), Jeanette Finster (Jr., LaCanada, CA/Flintridge Prep), Sara Moser-Cohen (Fr., Fair Haven, NJ/Marine Academy of Science) and Tara Cooney (Fr., Douglaston, NY/St. Francis) sprinted to a time of 4:12.48 to finish ninth of 14 teams in the Centennial/Middle Atlantic Conference 4X400 meter relay at the University of Pennsylvania's Franklin Field in the 2003 Penn Relays. The time was 1.86 seconds slower than eighth DeSales University and 0.80 quicker than 10th place Susquehanna University's 4:13.28. Overall, the Diplomats finished fifth of eight Centennial Conference teams as Dickinson and Muhlenberg failed to field teams to compete. Gettysburg won the annual event in 4:03.48 and McDaniel finished second in 4:04.46. Elizabethtown was the top current Middle Atlantic Conference team in 4:06.05, good for third place overall.
