STROUDSBURG, PA -- Bryn Benford (Jr., Malvern, PA/Great Valley), Tara Cooney (So., Douglaston, NY/St. Francis) and Laura Lautenbacher (Fr., Langhorne, PA/Nazareth Academy) established new records in the triple jump, 1,000 meters and pole vault as the Franklin & Marshall College women's indoor track team competed at the Fifth Annual Deschriver Invitational at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. Cooney crossed the finish line in 3:11.707 to place second and reset her own school record of 3:17.91, which she established last year. In the pole vault, Lautenbacher cleared 9-6 to better the previous school record of 9-1 which shed established earlier this season. Benford erased her own school record of 34-0 in the triple jump flying 34-10.75 to place fourth. In other events, Robyn Haertel (So., Millburn, NJ/Millburn) placed fourth in heat one of the 55 meters (7.828), while Benford crossed the line in 10.404 to place fourth in heat five of the 55 hurdles. Jeannette Finster (Sr., LaCanada, CA/Flintridge Preparatory) placed fourth in heat one of the 400 meters (1:03.147), Yanira Figueroa (Sr., Mount Vernon, NY/Tuckahoe) finished second in the mile (5:54.293) and Libby Haas (Fr., Wrightsville, PA/Eastern) earned a fifth place finish in the high jump (5-2). Following an off weekend, the Diplomats will continue the season on February 21 at the Susquehanna University Invitational. 5000 Meters
