Diplomats Place 13th in Women's Centennial/MAC 4X400 Meters at 2004 Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Franklin & Marshall College team of Tara Cooney (So., Douglaston, NY/St. Francis), Jeannette Finster (Sr., LaCanada, CA/Flintridge Preparatory), Libby Haas (Fr., Wrightsville, PA/Eastern) and Brittney Dhein (So., Telford, PA/Pennridge) sprinted to a time of 4:15.21 to finish 13th of 14 teams in the Centennial/Middle Atlantic Conference 4X400 meter relay at the University of Pennsylvania's Franklin Field in the 2004 Penn Relays.

The time was 0.34 seconds off the pace of 12th place Johns Hopkins University (4:14.87) and .90 faster than Ursinus College (4:16.11).

Elizabethtown College won the annual event in 4:00.00, while Juniata (4:01.41), McDaniel (4:04.70), Haverford (4:06.00) and Gettysburg (4:06.06) rounded out the top five finishers.

Franklin & Marshall College will continue the season on April 24 at the Dickinson College Invitational.
