Rautzhan Named Assistant Women's Track & Field Coach

LANCASTER, PA – Jen Rautzhan has been named an assistant track & field coach at Franklin & Marshall College.

A specialist in the throws, she graduated from DeSales University in May 2004 with dual bachelor degrees in sport management and marketing after an illustrious career in which she set the school outdoor track & field records in shot put (38-2.50), discus (138-3.00) and hammer throw (134-2.50). In addition, she won three Middle Atlantic Conference championships claiming the hammer throw in 2003 (39.20 meters) and 2004 (40.69 meters) and capturing the discus in 2004 (42.02 meters).

A native of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania and a three-time Middle Atlantic Conference All-Academic selection during the winter and spring seasons, she provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the discus during the 2003 and 2004 seasons.

A dual sport athlete at DeSales, she finished her career with 432 rebounds, 522 points and 55 blocked shots in 102 basketball games as she ranks 17th all-time in Bulldogs’ history in rebounds per game (4.2 rpg) and 13th in blocks.

Franklin & Marshall will open the 2004-05 indoor track season on December 5 at the Haverford College Invitational. Start time is set for 10:00 a.m.
