HAVERFORD, PA – Libby Haas (So., Wrightsville, PA/Eastern) sprinted to the line in 44.61 and cleared 5-3 to shatter the school women’s indoor track 300 meter and high jump records at the Villanova University Pyrah Invitational hosted by Haverford College. In the 300 meters, Haas eclipsed the mark of 46.02 set by Jackie Bentley ’03 during the 2002 season as she placed 13th of 25 competitors and was the top Division III finisher. She added to her milestones in the high jump as she defeated four Division I jumpers to place first and erase her old school record of 5-2.5 set last season. In other finishes, Brittney Dhein (Jr., Telford, PA/Pennridge) placed 10th in the 55 meters (8.31), Liz Detwiler (Fr., Souderton, PA) finished 11th in the 55 meter hurdles (10.01) and Bryn Benford (Sr., Malvern, PA/Great Valley) placed fourth in the triple jump (32-10.25), seventh in the shot put (33-06.75) and second in the weight throw (41-08.50). Franklin & Marshall will continue the season on December 10 at the Dickinson College Invitational. Start time is set for 6:00 p.m. 55 Meters
