COLLEGEVILLE, PA – The Franklin & Marshall women’s indoor track distance and middle distance runners shined with six top 10 fiinishes as the Diplomats finished sixth of 17 teams at the Ursinus College Frank Colden Invitational. In the relays, F&M placed second in the distance medley relay in a time of 13:52.18 before claiming the 4X800 relay in 10:21.49. Individually, Tara Cooney (Jr., Douglaston, NY/St. Francis) and Nikki Salenetri (So., Crosswicks, NJ/Northern Burlington) placed fifth (2:27.87) and eighth (2:29.23) in the 800 meters, while Meredith Janeczek (So., Hershey, PA/Hershey) and Karen Ziga (So., Haverford, PA/Haverford) crossed the finish line in sixth (10:52.77) and eighth (11:03.77) in the 3,000 meters. In other events, Bryn Benford (Sr., Malvern, PA/Great Valley) placed 10th in the high jump (1.42 meters), third in the triple jump (10.29 meters) and fifth in the shot put (10.60) to round out F&M’s top ten finishers.
