SELINSGROVE, PA – Bryn Benford (Sr., Malvern, PA/Great Valley) erased her own school shot put record of 35’-8 by tossing the implement 36’-09.50 to lead Franklin & Marshall College at the 2005 Susquehanna University Women’s Indoor Track Invitational. Overall, she placed in the top ten in four events as she finished second in the high jump (1.57 meters), fourth in the triple jump (10.18 meters) and sixth in the weight throw (13.18 meters). In other top ten finishes, Libby Haas (So., Wrightsville, PA/Eastern) placed second in the high jump (1.57 meters) and fifth in the 400 meters (1:03.55), Tara Cooney (Jr., Douglaston, NY/St. Francis) crossed the line seventh in the 800 meters (2:27.35), the 4X200 relay finished fifth (1:56.37), the 4X400 relay placed 10th (4:34.10), the 4X800 relay was third (10:28.92) and Meredith Janeczek (So., Hershey, PA/Hershey) and Karen Ziga (So., Haverford, PA/Haverford) placed second (10:51.80) and eighth (11:14.19) in the 3000 meters. Franklin & Marshall will continue the season on February 25-27 at the Centennial Conference Championships hosted by Dickinson College. 200 Meters
